He went through seven scripts and thirteen years of failure before securing funding by knocking on the doors of 50 companies on the Mexican Stock Exchange. Creator of Club de Cuervos — Netflix's first original series outside the United States — director of Father of the Bride with Andy García and Gloria Estefan for Warner Brothers, and the man behind La Oficina, the Mexican adaptation of The Office for Amazon Prime that today ranks 10th worldwide without having premiered in the United States.
